Dalhousie’s Department of Economics currently has two joint 2+2 programs in China. One of these is with Shandong University of Finance (SUF) in the city of Jinan in Shandong province and one is with Renmin University of China (RUC) in Beijing.
Students in the joint 2+2 programs spend their first two years of university at the Chinese partner university. They will advance to Dalhousie for their third and fourth years of study, subject to their academic achievement in the first two years and their competence in English. (Please refer to English Language Proficiency ) Students who have successfully completed first two years in their university and the last two years at Dalhousie will received a degree from Dalhousie University.
Students entering one of the 2+2 programs are recruited at the end of senior high school in China by the Chinese university partner. The requirements for admission to the first two years of the program are at the discretion of the Chinese university partner. Acceptance to Dalhousie for the third and fourth years of study is at the discretion of Dalhousie. Once the students are at Dalhousie, they will be integrated into the regular program at Dalhousie.
